CU/PVC cables have a core conductor of plain annealed copper, with either stranded circular or compacted wires. The copper conductors are not sheathed, and lie within PVC insulation, made from type TI1. Therefore, CU/PVC cables possess a set of distinct characteristics due to their insulation being made from PVC. CU/PVC cables are typically very resistant to fires because of their PVC insulation. CU PVC 450 / 750 V cables are suitable choices for indoors installations, industrial plants, switching stations or underground installations.
