Rubber that insulates H05RN-F and H07RN-F cables is made of Neoprene aka Polychloroprene which is resistant in heat, oil and weather. It is a durable and hardy material that can be used in dry, humid or even moist environments, be it out in the open of within sheltered rooms. The structural integrity of its insulation is strong enough to be used in and handle workshops with explosive atmospheres as these cables are flame retardant and self-extinguish during fire.
Comprising of a layer of strong insulation, sheathed and flexible H05RN-F and H07RN-F cables are hardy options that can be used for a wide range of applications. They can be used for connections of fixed or mobile equipment, can be used in offices, kitchens, agricultural and industrial workshops, where cables are exposed to environments with higher levels of heat. Robotics, automated factories and train stations are also suitable applications for H05RN-F and H07RN-F cables. Their notable strong insulation also allows these cables to be used effectively in acidic or alkaline environments.
However, it is best to avoid using H05RN-F and H07RN-F cables in applications with excessive mechanical stress, such as being buried directly underground. While they are great at handling tough conditions, putting them under a large force or constant stress will significantly shorten the lifespans of each cable.
